Heriberto, dead for 50 years, is stuck in limbo. He refuses to enter until he can reunite with his beloved wife, Maruca. The day of her death, confused by the Alzheimer that plagued her later years, Maruca does not recognize Heriberto. His task will be to reawaken his adored wife, aided by novice angels, and guide her to eternal love. His method: the cumbias and porros of Barranquilla in the 1940s and 1950s, the music of their young love. Will Heriberto’s strategy work? And if so, will he and Maruca be able to dance their way to heaven?
