Arturo P. Archila is a psychiatrist with more than thirty five years of clinical and leadership experience in behavioral health. He currently serves as a psychiatrist at Bergen Regional Medical Center in New Jersey, where he has practiced since 2011, and maintains a private practice in Hackensack. His previous roles include Associate Medical Director of Behavioral Health at Bergen Regional, Medical Director at Mount Carmel Guild and Catholic Charities, and positions within hospital, correctional, and community mental health settings throughout New Jersey and New York.
Before immigrating to the United States, Dr. Archila served as Human Rights Assistant Advisor to the President of Colombia through the United Nations Development Program, work that continues to inform his commitment to dignity, justice, and community wellness.
A longtime supporter of the arts and cultural engagement, Dr. Archila brings to ID Studio Theater a deep belief in the power of storytelling and creative practice to support healing and social transformation.
