ID Studio Theater NYC presenta el estreno mundial de Almendares, una obra sobre la libertad, la pertenencia, la memoria y aquello que elegimos —o no logramos— dejar ir.
Tras la muerte de su padre, tres hermanos se reencuentran en el bar familiar después de ocho años de separación. El regreso del hermano mayor, que vuelve del Norte, abre viejas heridas y pone en cuestión los vínculos que los unen, las decisiones que los separaron y la posibilidad de recuperar algo de lo que dejaron atrás.
Para esta producción, el nivel inferior de ID Studio Theater se transformará en el bar familiar de Almendares, acercando al público al espacio donde transcurre la historia. Una puesta en escena íntima en la que la distancia entre los personajes, sus silencios y aquello que permanece sin decir adquieren una presencia propia.

ID Studio Theater NYC presents the world premiere of Almendares, a play about freedom, belonging, memory, and the things we choose—or fail—to let go of.
Following their father's death, three siblings reunite at the family bar after eight years of separation. The return of the eldest brother from the North reopens old wounds, bringing into question the ties that bind them, the choices that drove them apart, and whether anything of their shared past can be reclaimed.
For this production, the lower level of ID Studio Theater will be transformed into the family's bar, bringing audiences into the very space where the story unfolds. This intimate staging invites audiences to experience the distance between the characters, their silences, and the weight of all that remains unspoken.

Join the Hudson Valley Writers Center (HVWC) and ID Studio Theater for a special live performance of Los Niños Perdidos, on November 18, at 7:00 p.m., in-person at HVWC. This production is a one-person play based on the work of an interpreter for migrant children seeking legal representation. The play will be performed in Spanish with English supertitles. Pleaser register here to get your tickets. Tickets are pay-what-you-wish and everyone is welcome to attend. Following the play, we will screen a short epilogue film and open the floor to audience questions and discussion.

Esta producción es una obra unipersonal basada en la labor de un intérprete que asiste a niños migrantes en busca de representación legal. Set In a 1940s Harlem boarding house filled with immigrants chasing possibility, a false accusation upends the balance of power and relationships. As one man faces execution, the residents unite to uncover the real culprit—exposing injustice within the walls of the hotel and beyond.

Amar a Dylan is a hybrid piece of theater, poetry, and performance that explores longing, digital identity, and the fragile boundaries between what is real and what we invent in order to love. Cisne, our protagonist, enters a world of “false Dylans,” shadows and echoes that reveal how desire can turn into illusion—and how letting go can also be an act of survival.
A visually evocative and emotionally intimate work, Amar a Dylan blends performance, text, music, and video art to reflect on tenderness, obsession, memory, and the human need to believe.

This play honors the life and music of the gifted Afro-Cuban composer Arsenio Rodríguez (1911-1970), known as "El Ciego Maravilloso" due to his blindness. Working within the musical style known as Son, he initiated a radical shift in tropical music that paved the way for the creation of salsa, here in the South Bronx. ARSENIO! is the third play in the trilogy “Between Two Worlds,” which explores cultural and spiritual themes through the celebration of Latin American music. The first play celebrated cumbia (Colombia), and the second highlighted the songs of Pedro Infante (Mexico).
